Adriana's Portfolio

My name is Adriana Alcala, I’m a fine artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I earned my BFA in Art & Design from the University of Michigan in 2022. In my undergrad, I was focused on fiber arts and video production. These mediums still influence my current work, but these days I consider myself a sculptor. I hope to continue my education by attending artist residencies, and going back to school for my graduate degree.

Professionally I have worked in management, arts education, and community engagement in the non-profit sector. I moved to the Pacific Northwest a year ago and acquired access to a shared studio space. Since then I have been diligently producing new ceramic sculpture work and refining my creative practice.
